Megan attended Keele University where she obtained a BSc(Hons) in Psychology and Criminology. She spent a semester abroad in America during her second year. Whilst working as a paralegal, she went back to university part-time at UCLan to complete both her Graduate Diploma in Law and LLM LPC. For both, she completed dissertations around the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

She says a highlight in her career would be becoming a Solicitor and achieving ALR Status.

In her free time, she loves to spend time with her friends and family and she particularly enjoys exploring new places. One fun fact about Megan is since lockdown she has been a keen cross-stitcher and is running out of space at home for her stitches!

What people say about Megan

Megan Shaw was my Solicitor for this matter. Megan was extremely friendly, helpful and professional at all times during the time I worked with her. Megan acted promptly and took the time to ensure that P felt supported to understand what was happening with the Court of Protection application and proceedings. Megan took the time to carefully explain every matter relating to the case. Megan also provided me with regular updates and was always available to answer any questions that I had. I completed numerous joint visits with Megan to see P at the care home and to support P to attend the Court of Protection hearings virtually. I would recommend Megan to my colleagues and I look forward to working with Megan again on different cases in the future.
