Southerns MD puts in winning performance at the BMW Golf Cup International World Final

Our very own Managing Director, Neil Cronin, fought off stiff competition to take victory in a tense showdown at the 30th BMW Gold Cup International World Final.

The very best of around 100,000 participating amateur golfers had qualified for the event which took place at the stunning Fancourt Golf Resort in South Africa.

In the Men B group just two points separated first and fifth places with Neil taking the win (104), followed by Mohamed Suliman (South Africa, 104) and Vincent Misuraca (Australia, 103). Matthieu Billmann (France, 102) and Alexander Feistl (Germany, 102) finished in fourth and fifth positions.

Neil said “it was an absolute honour to be part of the UK team at the World Final of the biggest international tournament series for amateur golfers. As BMW Golfsport rightly said, winning was just the icing on the cake”. He also went on to thank his fellow competitors and all those involved at BMW and the Fancourt Resort who made this a truly once in a lifetime experience.

The Southerns Team look forward to seeing what the future holds for Neil and may the course be with you!
